Noonday Collection Feature & Giveaway | SBP Launch

Hi there friends!

I have continued to be awed and blessed by the way you all have encouraged me in this long awaited event of launching my new brand! I am so so thankful! I truly hope that my business and photography can be a source of life to you as you tune in and see it flourish in the coming years! It is a deep desire in my heart that Sarah Best Photography would be a wellspring of life that overflows onto others! I am full of hope and promise that the Lord will be strong in my weaknesses, and that HIS vision will be what is seen and not just my own good efforts. Can I get an amen?  :-)

Today I am so thrilled to be featuring Noonday Collection and my sweet friend, Lauren Shutter, who is an Ambassador for Noonday. I had the pleasure of hosting a Noonday Trunk Show with Lauren this past spring, and it was so awesome to hear how passionate she was about Noonday's mission of providing opportunity for those in need. I was especially touched to hear about her and her husband's heart for adoption and the vision the Lord has given them for it! Besides having some of the most tasteful jewelry I've seen, Noonday creates great opportunity for many, and carries a clear vision in their hearts that you can't help but want to support in some way! Be sure and check out their website! Stick around to learn about the amazing giveaway we're doing from them today!

Here's a little more about Noonday...

"Noonday Collection's mission is to create economic opportunity for the vulnerable. We partner with artisans in the developing world, empowering them to grow sustainable businesses. By creating a marketplace for their goods, we create dignified jobs at living wages. This allows our artisans to earn more in order to support their families. We also offer no interest loans and make advance payments on orders. This way we are able to shoulder the costs of materials and build a lasting relationship based on trust. We offer scholarship programs and emergency assistance. Noonday Collection also donates a portion of sales to place orphans in forever families.

Noonday Collection is not a charity and we do not believe that providing a hand out is a sustainable long-term solution to poverty. We aim to be a sustainable business that gives women across the United States a way to make a lasting difference in the fight against poverty and injustice. This is what makes this movement so special. To learn more about Noonday's impact, click here."

Some words from Lauren...

"My husband and I would love to adopt someday, and are looking for the Lord's leading on how, when, and where. So when I came across Noonday, I could barely contain my excitement. Adoption is a part of Noonday's DNA (it started out as an adoption fundraiser for our founder, Jessica Honegger). To be given the opportunity to affect people's lives around the globe and to give others hope for the future by simply buying and selling beautiful accessories, all while saving for our own adoption, sounded too good to be true. When God calls us to love the widow, the orphan, and the alien, He invites us into the opportunity to see every person as He does, with value and worth. Being a part of providing work and dignity to those who would be without it otherwise makes my heart happy."

Hello again!

I am so overwhelmed with the amount of support and encouragement I received from you all yesterday! Wow! All of your kind words blew me away! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Yesterday just made me THAT much more excited for the rest of the week!  I am so giddy to show you guys the things we have in store! Eeek!

For the next three days I will be featuring some businesses that I think are just stinking cool, and offering giveaways from their products/work.

Today is a very special day and I am so incredible thrilled about it! Today, I get to introduce you guys to my amazing friend and graphic designer, Becky Murphy! She has been a delight to work with! I have felt so safe and covered by her because she always keeps her client's best interest in mind! As a fellow small business owner, she has taught me more than she knows about balancing work and life, while still managing to produce amazing art and service! I highly recommend her! And don't miss out on a very special giveaway from her at the end!

Now for some words from Miss Becky...

My name is Becky Murphy and I'm a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and writer living in Austin, Texas. You can see my portfolio here and my blog here.

"I was born and raised in Iowa, where I got my start as an avid doodler, positive thinker and pun-maker. After I graduated from Iowa State, I landed a job in Waco, where they paid me to doodle monsters on band shirts. It was a good move. Soon after, I wrote and illustrated a book called I'd Rather Be Short. It's 100 reasons why it's awesome to be small. You can get it here, here or here.

My company, Chipper Things, is a custom illustration and graphic design studio. Each project is as uniquely and thoughtfully crafted as the clients and ideas themselves. I see myself as an aid in a much bigger project—partnering with idea makers who truly make a difference. Chipper Things operates and collaborates with intention. I strive to be a creative and generous leader in my industry. Work finds its space around life, not the other way around."
